This is Poppy at 2 years with tiny baby Harry who was a day old.

I get it Mummas, it’s really tough. Maintaining the healthy sleep habits you’ve established for your toddler whilst you manage a newborn is going to be tricky. But I promise you, it can be done.

The best thing you’ll ever do for your toddler when their new baby brother or sister arrives is - keep their daily routine as familiar and normal or close to normal as possible - same morning wake up, same meal times, same nap time, same bedtime, rinse and repeat.

Get others to help make it happen so your toddler’s sleep can remain consistent and unchanged. And it’s important it does because a rested toddler will cope with a new baby in the house.

An exhausted and overtired one won’t.

If you think one toddler is a lot…four is a whole different level of chaos & love.

What it really reminded me of is how important it is to come back the foundations.

When sleep feels overwhelming, when things have drifted and when everyone is exhausted, it’s rarely about doing more. It’s about resetting.

Looking at the basics.

Sleep doesn’t need to be complicated.

Spending time with the quads was such a beautiful reminded of why I do what I do.

Taylah & Sean - you are doing an incredible job. Truly. 4 little humans is no small feat, the love and patience you show every day is beyond incredible.

For others, it can feel heavy, quiet, or complicated.

To the mums running on broken sleep…

To the ones in the thick of long nights and early mornings…

To the ones doing this without a village…
